What will it take to bring this "Change"?

Four children are dead at the hands of yet another illegal alien in this country. What is it going to take to bring our "lawmakers" into the real world? As I watch the bills concerning illegal immigration in Richmond fall by the wayside, I am filled with disgust.

I guess some certain party representatives (I will point no fingers!) would rather try and gain votes from wherever they can instead of passing laws to protect the legal citizens of this country. Anyone that does not support doing all they can to protect our borders should go visit the families of these slain children and explain to them why they aren't willing to do anything.

Please all bloggers out there keep the families of this tragic accident in your prayers. Also remember the students that lost their young lives this week also. Hug your child every morning and never be in too big of a hurry to say "I love you".

Political "Backtalk"

Recently in Richmond Virginia Senator Saslaw, D-Fairfax, re-defined the meaning of "backtalk". A Virginia taxpayer approached him to speak about an issue being considered in this General Assembly session. He walked away rapidly without any regard to the person wishing to speak to him. The citizen followed his rapid pace and continued to talk to his "back". The point was made much to the Senator's dismay. No longer is "backtalk" the same as "sassing". It is now how you talk to rude arrogant politicians, you talk to their back when they don't have the decency to let you talk to their face.

How much money does AEP really need?

As the new deregulation bill takes effect power bills all over Virginia keep rising. The burden on the elderly, disabled and the unemployed is staggering. Yet in today's Martinsville Bulletin they brag that they have paid their stockholders a dividend every quarter since 1910!! AEP fines for illegal emissions and "proposed" new plants are the responsibilty of the shareholders, not the consumers. What do you think you think should be on the forefront in Richmond right now, driver fees or electric bills?
